How Farm Rulebook builds a guide

Each guide starts with an official source and shows its date checked, scope, conditions, exceptions, and next questions.

How a guide is built

  1. Start with current official sources.
  2. Record the exact citation and date checked.
  3. Summarize the rule, conditions, exceptions, and exclusions.
  4. Separate state, federal, and local questions.
  5. Check citations, dates, wording, and source changes.
  6. Publish corrections when a source or summary changes.

What each guide shows

  • Official source and citation.
  • Date checked and jurisdiction.
  • Topics covered and important limits.
  • Specific questions to check next.

Limits

A guide summarizes the cited sources. Local rules and the facts of a particular operation may require additional research.
